The development of the manufacturing industry requires every company to be able to increase productivity, efficiency, and product quality to face increasingly fierce competition. One approach used is the application of ergonomic principles and the design of effective work systems. This research was conducted at PT Assyifa Teknik Mandiri with a focus on the production process of the 4W Strainer. The purpose of this activity was to analyze and improve work methods using various types of work maps, including human-machine maps, group process maps, operation process maps (OPC), process flow maps, and flow diagram maps. The results of the analysis showed inefficiencies in the use of time and resources, such as delays in the sorting process due to a lack of operators and low machine utilization. Based on these findings, a redesign of work methods was carried out that emphasized time efficiency, increased coordination between operators and helpers, and optimization of work equipment layout. This activity is expected to increase productivity, reduce production cycle time, and improve the quality of the final product. The final results show that the application of work system design based on work maps can be an effective solution to optimize production processes in the manufacturing industry.
